About
PickMyRx is an independent information site covering two things: what pharmacies actually pay for common prescription drugs, and every Medicare Advantage and Part D plan available in your state and county. One job — give you a straight, federally-sourced number instead of marketing copy.
Where the data comes from
Drug prices come from NADAC, the National Average Drug Acquisition Cost survey published weekly by the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) — a record of what pharmacies actually paid their wholesalers, not a sticker price or an insurance-negotiated rate. Medicare plan data comes from CMS's official annual plan landscape file, covering every Medicare Advantage and Part D plan by state and county. We refresh both on a regular schedule and show the "as of" date on every page.
What we don't do
PickMyRx is not a Third-Party Marketing Organization (TPMO) and does not sell insurance, take enrollment applications, or receive compensation from any insurance plan. We're not connected with or endorsed by the U.S. government or the federal Medicare program. If you want to enroll in or change a plan, that happens directly with the plan, at Medicare.gov, or by calling 1-800-MEDICARE — we simply show you the public data so you know what to look for before you get there.
How we make money
Display advertising, shown on the site like any publisher. That's it — no referral fees from insurance plans, no lead-generation, no calls. Advertising never affects which drugs, prices, or plans appear, or how they're ranked; every number on this site comes straight from the same federal source regardless of what's advertised alongside it.
Not medical advice
Everything here is pricing and plan information, not medical advice. Talk to your doctor or pharmacist before changing any medication, and confirm plan details directly with the plan or at Medicare.gov before enrolling.
